What a crazy episode last night.  So much happened in this episode that it really is starting to show the direction in which the entire series could be going.  Caution: If you missed last nights episode, or Tivo’d it and haven’t watched it yet, skip this article.  Spoiler Alert.

The Secret is out!  Indefinetly.  Within the first 5 minutes of the show,  Amy finally admits to her mom that ‘I’m having a baby’.  Now let’s be honest, we’ve all been waiting to see how her mom would react.  Given the sensitivity of the situation I believe every mothers reaction to be different but think her mom handled it pretty well.

The Secret Life is returning Monday, January 11th with all new episodes!!

Every week Daren Kagasoff stars on “Secret Life of the American Teenager” as Ricky Underwood, the formerly slutty stud who got this whole baby ball rolling.

In year two, Ricky has undergone a serious image overhaul and found love with his baby mama Amy. Now, Daren has been nominated for a 2009 Teen Choice Award for his work on the ABC Family series.

He’s got some stiff competition: Frankie Jonas from “JONAS,” “Danny McBride from “Eastbound & Down,” Cory Mointeith from “Glee” and Tristan Wilds from “90210.”

Like any good politician stumping on the campaign trail, Daren is taking to the streets (or the information superhighway) in an attempt to drum up votes for Choice Breakout Star Male. So here are five reasons why you should throw your support his way!

1. That too cool for school act is just that, an act! “I’m really shy, I get nervous when I go up to girls,” he tells PopWrap. “Actually, I don’t really go up to girls!”

2. He’s a total mama’s boy! “I don’t know what I would do without my mom or my family. They keep me so grounded,” he says.

3. He’s shockingly unpretentious! Despite being touted as “the next Johnny Depp,” Daren says, “I don’t even know what to say. It’s just so flattering to have my name even said in the same sentence.”

4. He’s gone green — “Prius all the way!”

5. Daren doesn’t really like clothes that much — as anyone who’s watched “Secret Life” can attest!

Other than the pregnancy and death that will kick off The Secret Life of the American Teenager‘s sophomore season, star Ken Baumann tells TV Guide that some “very dramatic changes” will rage on the high-rating ABC Family series.  For starters, the 19-year-old who plays Ben Boykewich on the drama says he thinks people won’t lose interest just because Amy (Shailene Woodley) has given birth.

“I think everybody has that small concern …  [But] at the same time, life only gets a thousand times more complicated once you have the child.  Just reading the scripts, I think they’ve gotten better since the first season so there will be a lot more drama and excitement.”

As to whether his character and Ricky (Daren Kagasoff) will continue to hit it off with season 2, Baumann says don’t count on it, as the baby will definitely cause some friction between the two.

“You’re not going to get two 15-year-olds who are hunky-dory parenting together in this makeshift family, so it’s definitely tumultuous.  There’s certainly jealousy.  There’s actually a lot of jealousy. The Ben-Ricky situation gets infinitely more complicated.  In Ben’s case, he’s very optimistic and can be kind of naïve.  I think Ricky knows full well it’s going to be difficult.”

Nonetheless, the three parties will try their hardest to “to make it work,” it will not “function very well for probably a very long time” and might even result in a “breaking point” that can very well be a breakup.   Yet among the three, Baumann admits that it’s Ricky who’s the most adjusted to the whole parenthood thing.

“Ricky. He’s starting to re-evaluate himself and be a good guy.   That was kind of alluded to in the finale. By no means is it a fixed situation, but he’s going to try to be a good dad. He is probably the most responsible in the way that he’s been raised to be the most self-sufficient.  He’s got his major flaws, but he’s probably the best out of the three.”

Brandi Cyrus, aka Miley’s older sister, has a new band called Frank and Derol with pals Megan Park (blonde, star of ABC Family’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager) and Codi Caraco (brunette).

The trio of girls are opening up for papa Billy Ray Cyrus on Saturday at House of Blues Anaheim and Sunday at House of Blues in West Hollywood. Check out JustJared.com’s exclusive interview with Brandi from yesterday!

How did the band’s name come about? How did coming together with Megan [Park] and Codi [Caraco] come about? We all know each other through Miley’s guitar player Jaco. Codi is Jaco’s younger sister, and I met Codi in L.A. at one of Miley’s shows. And I met Megan in Nashville at a show (Megan is dating Jaco’s best friend). We just all started hanging out together and started the band for fun. The name is completely random, we think it’s funny that its two guys’ names when clearly we’re three girls!

How does the band write new music? How does the collaboration process work? Usually we all get together when we have a day off and one of us will have an idea, either a piano melody or a guitar rift and it will just come together from there. Once we get going we all just put in our creative ideas, sometimes we finish a song in a day and sometimes it takes week, it just depends.

Who inspires you musically? What was the last concert you went to? Definitely my sister and my dad, but aside from them I listen to so much different music. My favorite band of all time is Jimmy Eat World, I’ve listened to them for so long. I’m good friends with Hayley, from Paramore and I look up to her a lot. I basically watched that band build their entire career from the ground up.

Besides your music, are you working on any other projects? Music is my main priority right now, were just starting to get off the ground with Frank and Derol and we wanna go forward with full force. I’ve also always had an interest in acting and do go on auditions when I’m home. It would be rad if that picked up. I really wanna be in one of the Twilight movies!!!

What’s your favorite memory of you and Miley? Gosh, there are seriously so many! Recently, we got to play a show for our friends and like 200 fans in Nashville. It was super cool, and Sheryl Crow came and played a few songs with us. It was so amazing to get to play with her, she is a legend! And we got to do it together, it was pretty cool.
